14 October 1777 - 59 guineas match Newmarket versus Brimstone (con 3lbs); 29 October 1777 - 50 guineas match Newmarket versus Magna Charta (con 2lbs) Dam of good class racehorse Mark-Ho!, winner of 10 races between 1786 and 1789; grandam of top class racehorse Marmion (1811 Epsom Gold Cup); 5th dam of Queen of the Vale (1860 Queen's Stand Stakes [inaugural running of the King's Stand Stakes], 1861 Coronation Stakes); and of Tippler (1866 Queen Anne Stakes) The Queen [King's] Stand Stakes was created as a result of bad weather at Royal Ascot in 1860. Heavy rain made it impossible to run the Royal Stand Plate over its usual distance of 2 miles, so it was shortened to 5 furlongs on the only raceable part of the course. The amended version was called the Queen's Stand Plate, and it subsequently became the most important sprint at the Royal meeting
