The extremely significant broodmare Old Morocco Mare, the second earliest mare in the lineage of Family 6, is bred by Thomas Fairfax at the Helmsley Stud between 1651 and 1657. She is dam of Spanker, important sire and described as the best racehorse at Newmarket in the time of Charles II; Young Bald Peg (grandam of Basto and top class racehorse and twice Champion Sire Fox); and Charming Jenny (dam of Betty Percival, Highland Laddie, Hampton Court Charming Jenny and Leedes). The GSB also says that the latter mare, Charming Jenny, was the dam of Cream Creeks, but mtDNA evidence has shown that Cream Cheeks and Betty Percival do not share a common ancestor, so were from different dams. The DNA evidence is supported by the stud book of Cuthbert Routh which says Cream Cheeks is out of "a famous roan mare of Sr. [Sir] Mar. [Marmaduke] Wyvill's". The DNA result means all of Cream Cheeks' descendants should be removed from Family 6, including Flying Childers, Bartlet's Childers, Sorcerer, Eleanor, Phantom and Priam.
