| April 1722 - King's Plate [mares] Newmarket Dam of Sister One to Steady (by [Flying] Childers), through which branches 6-b, 6-c, 6-d, 6-e and 6-f of the family descend Dam of Fleece'em (1737 King's Plate Newmarket); 4th dam of Young Eclipse (1781 Derby, 1783 King's Plate Burford, 1784 King's Plate Nottingham); of top class racemare Fame which ran more than 40 times winning 19 races, and placed 2nd in the Oaks; of top class racehorse Diomed, undefeated in 5 starts in 1780 notably the Derby, and a great stallion in America; and of top class racehorse Dragon (17 wins including 1791 Claret Stakes, Jockey Club Plate, 140 Guineas Stakes, 70 Guineas Stakes) Also spelt Miss Belvoire, and she was frequently called the Cabbage-arsed Mare | |
