The third earliest mare in the lineage of American Family A81 The family died out in the 1910s I thank Miss Baugh for the following information:- Beau Mare - in ASB 1:257 and in contemporaneous documents as the 3rd dam of Brandon (dam of Meade's Celer, et al) - the mare's second dam was imported and owned by Colonel Francis Eppes 3rd dam of Young Aristotle and 4th dam of Clodius, Edward's Quicksilver, Meade's Celer, Meade's Fitz-Partner and Meade's Pilgrim, all of which enjoyed at least some measure of success as a stallion, especially Clodius and the very successful Meade's Celer
