| Possibly out of a sister to Bonny Lass, who was mated at least four times with the Lonsdale Bay Arabian, rather than Bonny Lass herself, the GSB having conflicting pedigrees for her daughter Bajazet Mare, stating in one section that her grandam was Bonny Lass, and in another a sister to Bonny Lass Grandam of Diana (1778 King's Plate [mares] Newmarket, King's Plates Nottingham, York, 1779 King's Plate Newmarket); 3rd dam of top class racehorse Goldfinder, undefeated in 11 career starts: 4th dam of Ceres (1785 Oaks); of Hardwicke (1785 Claret Stakes); 5th dam of Rhadamanthus (1790 Derby); of Daedalus (1794 Oaks); and of [Bond's] First Consul (undefeated 1801 to 1805, winning his first 21 races in New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Maryland and Washington City, remaining unbeaten until an 8yo) | |
