Family 12 is a conflation of four different female lines, as shown by mtDNA evidence, of which two lines relate to the original Foundation Mare Little George's Dam is the third earliest mare in the lineage of the maternal line of the family descending from Foundation Mare Montague Mare Dam of Sister One to Little George (by Curwen Bay Barb) through which this maternal line of the family continues, evolving into branches 12-b, 12-c, 12-d, 12-e and 12-f of the family Grandam of Sophonisba (1722 King's Plate [mares] Hambleton, 1723 King's Plates York, Newmarket); of Sampson (1727 King's Plates Guildford, Lewes, Lincoln, Newmarket, 1728 King's Plate Newmarket); Mr. Honywood's Mare (1734 King's Plate [mares] Newmarket); of Jew Trump, sire of top class racehorse [North Country] Diamond (1732 King's Plates York, Lincoln, Newmarket); and 3rd dam of [Grisewood's] Lady Thigh, prolific fair class winner between 1736 and 1740
