| Family 12 is a conflation of four different female lines, as shown by mtDNA evidence, of which two lines relate to the original Foundation Mare Sister One to Little George is the fourth earliest mare in the lineage of the maternal line of the family descending from Foundation Mare Montague Mare Dam of Sister to Sampson (by Greyhound) through which this maternal line of the family continues, evolving into branches 12-b, 12-c, 12-d, 12-e and 12-f of the family Dam of Sampson (1727 King's Plates Guildford, Lewes, Lincoln, Newmarket, 1728 King's Plate Newmarket); 4th dam of Regulator (1773 Great Subscription Purse [6yo+ division] York, King's Plate Lincoln); 5th dam of top class racehorse Conductor (1773 King's Plates Newmarket, Guildford, Jockey Club Plate Newmarket, sire of Trumpator (Champion Sire 1803); of Juniper (1774, 1775 Doncaster Cup, 1775 Great Subscription Purse [6yo+ division] York; and of Alexander (1785 Doncaster Cup, King's Plate Newcastle, 1786 King's Plates Nottingham, York) | |
